The Brea-ers team Christmas blog hop

Hello Crafty Friends,

This month my team members and myself are focusing on Christmas of course!! If you have come from Arlene Bonsma's blog then you are on the right page :)

I know that a lot of you have paper packs that are retired or product you haven't used up yet, well I know I do! But because I like to make cards I have combined the two!! I give card sets to teachers, friends and sell them at local craft fairs! They are a big hit so I thought I would share with you all....This is the only one I have left but you get the idea, I sell them for $8-$10 a box of cards

Believe it or not the black and silver paper is wrapping paper from last year at Christmas that I saved but these would look awesome with our Always paper pack.

Another fun thing I made for craft fairs and for a funny gift is the "melted snowman" water bottle....

This year the new item was a bag of snowman poop.....I sold them for .50 and sold them all so I don't have a picture...I will try to make some more to update this post.

Another popular item are altered journals....they are dollar store composition books and covered with paper and decorated. I sell them for $5 but teachers, grandparents, teenagers love them!!
My son's with bulk proplayer...kept it simple for him
Retired papers but you get the idea....used the new artphilosphy cartridge for the title though :)

And one more with retired papers.....

The last thing are cards that are gift card holders. These too are a big hit this year! out side is  a regular card.....

inside has a flip out area to hold the gift card..... I made these by cutting the 12x12 cardstock at 5.25 and 12 inches, scored at 4.25 on each end then just folded the inside together and free hand cut the area for the card :)

Hope you like my projects....please message me if you have questions on how to make any of these awesome Christmas gifts.....crafting time, using product and happy recipient's..Win win!! To order your own CTMH products please check out my ctmh web site here!
Please hop over to  Krista Ritskenson's blog and check out what she has made!

Merry Christmas if I don't "see you" before then...

Hello crafty friends,
Well It is snowing here, maybe that is why everything I have done lately has a snow theme :)
This weeks challenge at Atlantic Hearts Sketch blog  was a tricky one for me. This is the sketch

Christmas card workshop

Hello crafty friends,
Every year I have hosted a Christmas card workshop....this year these are the 8 cards I have prepared....This card the French horn is stamped with desert sand and coloured with water colour pencils.
I totally copied this card from Vicki at the Wizard's Hangout...
I love the funky colours for this card....the background is embossed with a snowflake patterned I borrowed from a friend, trees stamped with sweetleaf, pear, and gypsy. Trees cut with the criciut and the art philosophy bundle
This is my fav. card! I just love the artbooking cartridge and the reindeer image on page 57 cut with real dial size of 2 3/4. That's it!! lol the ruby strip with the banner cut out I did by hand. used the new sparkle and shine paper pack!

proplayer paper for Christmas :) Used the new santa from the holiday mini and the dryer sheet technique where the image is covered with glue, then a USED dryer sheet is placed on and cut to size. Then prisma glitter is rubbed into the dryer sheet...very sparkly in real life.
This next card uses the baby cakes paper and the technique is cracked glass. The image is stamped then covered in embossing powder (clear) then repeated for a big layer...then put in the freezer and "cracked" for an antique look.

Just stamping and cutting on this card. Used the tree from C1559 Always grateful stamp set. and the scalloped punch.

This card uses the triple stamping technique, just line up the sheets of paper and stamp on all 3 then separate and back with coco cardstock in this case, top layer is poped up on foam dots.

All stamp sets are current for this idea book...however they will only be here till the end of January...the glitter gel is retiring as well as the paper so don't wait and order yours today!

For my layout I really wanted to use the babycakes and show how it can be for more than just the themed baby layouts. I had the pictures from 2000 that I had so that's where I started. I looked on pintrest for layout inspiration and used the layout from Nicole Norris. I also used the circuit artbooking cartridge :) I think it needs more embellishments...what do you think?

Geust Designer for Color Dare Challenge

Hello Crafty Friends!
I am SO honoured to be the guest designer this week for Color My Heart blog this week :)
The colours were Goldrush, Autumn Terracotta, and Olive! I also wanted to try the direct to paper technique so I have come up with four cards..... This first one is my favourite...I hope it was ok to add Coco colour too?
This one I liked too, just a bit more masculine and simple, but I liked the wood grain look. I just dragged the ink onto the cardstock...very simple yet dramatic.
This one was my first attempt. I was trying not to use any additional colours.
This one I was trying not to use as much white space, but then I stamped the flower in the 3 colours and it didn't show well so I over stamped with coco... its my least fav. but I figured I would post it so maybe others wouldn't be intimidated and see how the steps to a card you really love sometimes takes a bit :)

So what do you think? I hope I have done a good job as a guest designer and I hope you are inspired to make your own cards :)
