Sketch Challenge #175

Hello Crafty Friends!
This week has gotten away from me, I have been busy making cards as special order but didn't get my card for the sketch ready until today!! Here is the sketch at Atlantic Hearts Sketch challenge

and the card I made uses the new fundamentals paper pack, the new ctmh flower market cartridge for the flower and artistry for the frame...im not sure why the frame didn't line up right but I didn't really have time to figure it out. I needed a sympathy card quick and its ok. Sometimes I hate doing sympathy cards :(
Hope you can join our sketch challenge, we love seeing your cards!

I am sharing some cards made with the New fundamentals papers, at first I didn't know what to make of them, but they are so easy to use on cards with the universal patterns!! I haven't started scrapbooking but I think it will make it easier to match photos with papers! Here are some of my cards...The hipo is from Safari Ballet A1180, paper pieced and marker coloured.
New happy birthday stamp set B1537 called Birthday sparkles on page 37 in the new book...

Same happy birthday stamp set but used the ink blot stamp set D1660 on page 68

I used the new thin cuts for the hello....THIS card is my favourite. No stamping.....gasp!
again the safari ballet stamp set and paper pieced the tutu.... simple but cute girl card
this layout is found on page 54 in the new idea book, and Vicki Wizniuk's blog as well....

I hope you like them and get some inspiration! Which one (or two) do you like the best? I would love to know.....Please continue on our hop to                    blog to see MORE great inspiration. If you get lost along the way you can go to Michelle Stewart's blog . Next month on Sept 15th we will meet again and show you School themed projects, cards, and layouts so mark you calendars.

Atlantic Hearts challenge # 173

Hello Crafty Friends,
The sketches at Atlantic Hearts just keep getting better and better! This week has some fun circles to play with! I cut the larger one at 3 1/4 and probably could have gone up a size or two but I made it work. The stamp set is retired now but the smaller images work so well sometimes! Here is the sketch....
and here is my card.....I used the magical paper again....it retires at the end of this month and its just so easy to make birthday cards with....get yours before it's too late!
I think it maybe needs a matt on the red circle?? or something?? any suggestions?

Between the folds Pirate Birthday

Hello Crafty Friends,
I was asked to make some boy cards so I started looking for inspirations. One that jumped out was between the folds challenge to use the Florence paper pack from CTMH. I didn't get that paper pack but I used the colours of poppy, peacock, flaxen, and ruby. Here is my card....

I used the ahoy matey stamp set and retired fundamentals but they are similar to the new fundamentals. So much fun!
Hope you get some inspiration!

Atlantic Hearts Sketch # 171

Hello crafty Friends!
Today I made a card for the Atlantic Heats Sketch Challenge #171 using some of the new paper fundamentals and the ahoy matey stamp set. I wanted to make the sketch into a shaker card. Here is the sketch...
It was a lot trickier to cut with the cricut than I anticipated so its not quite centered. Then I didn't have any 3D foam tape (z1151) so I had to use a bunch of squares which don't work as well....arrr then my makers "blobbed" on the boot....so here is my card.....

oh well, not perfect but passable???
