Christmas cards

Hello Crafty Friends,
     I was away at camp the first week in july and was able to make a few cards. I made 4 cards and they match some challenges. I used some old ctmh paper. This card is my favourite of the bunch.

Notice the jingle bell on the side?? I just love the bling!!It also meets the challenge over at crafty card makers  Here  This is my first time entering their challenge :)

 I am entering my snowman card into the challenge over at http://christmascardchallenges.blogspot.ca/ which is to make a snowman card                                                                             

This next card was a pintrest inspired and meets the colour challenge over at color my heart to use shades of brown....I used mostly desert sand...and wee bit of red :)

And the forth card is also a favourite of mine, those cute polar bears are still available HERE on my close to my heart web site under shop and stamp sets.

Hello Crafty Friends!
   I am posting a wee bit early because I am leaving for camp in 30min! So without further ramble here is the sketch at Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge

and here is the card I made. I had to make a wedding shower card so I pulled out la Vie En Rose from CTMH and I thought the bottom of the sketch reminded me of the curtain fold Ive seen and been meaning to try....so here is my first attempt

I think its pretty cute... I just winged the folding but there are some youtube videos to help you if you wanted to try this technique.

Hippo Sketch # 165

Hello crafty Friends,
    Just a quick card today with the hippo from A1180 Safari Ballet, love this set! I used sketch # 165 at Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge as inspiration. Here is the sketch....

And here is my card... I coloured the hippo with water colour pencils, and paper pieced the tutu. I am using up retired paper which always feels good! I also used the colour challenge #198 from colormyheartcolordare to use sweet leaf and cotton candy. As well as Between the folds challenge to make birthday cards! I hope you like it and find some inspiration.

Hello crafty friends,
    I found this weeks sketch at Athlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge to be an easy one! I combined the sketch with the challenge over at Between the Folds to use CTMH's extra thick twine, as well as Colour my Hearts colour dare to use the new calypso colours. Soooo here is the sketch


And here is my card....

Birthday card challenges

Hello Crafty Friends,
    Had some time today to make some birthday cards. I usually look at different blogs for challenges to get my creativity going. Today I used the Mojo monday sketch #449 as well as House Mouse challenge to use OLD papers and products. My card uses old CTMH paper, my oldest birthday house mouse stamp called My Hats onto you (2011) and my oldest die (the pokadots) and my very first tool, the crimper for the green strip. I'm pretty happy how they turned out! So here is the sketch from mojo Monday....

and here is my card. I rotated the sketch.... Oh and I forgot to mention the spiral clip, my first accessories from CTMH. Cant get them any more and I'm totally hording them :)

I made a second card, slight variation because I cant make two identical..........

I hope you like them, they make me smile :)

Sketch # 161

Hello crafty friends,
   I am amazed that two weeks have gone by and its time for me to submit to this weeks Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge  Here is the sketch this week...

This is my card. It is kinda plain but the elements are there. I used the Happy Times paper and stamp set again. I love the gold paper!!

I like how elegant the gold looks... What will you do with the sketch? Hope you can join us!

Hello Crafty Friends,
    I just love making cards! And sketch challenges are my favourite way to expand my comfort zone! Todays Sketch at Atlantic Hearts is just perfect for this! So many layers.....here it is

I flipped my card, thanks to my long time card friend Laura I can not make horizontal cards! lol So here Is my card using the new magical paper pack from Close to my Heart and Safari Ballet stamp set...

My Photography skills are terrible...and another thing I would change is to stamp the image in black. I used whisper and it was defiantly harder to colour and doesn't stand out as much as I like.
